O’OCONNOR & O'SULLIVAN

DIRECT FROM IRELAND FOR TWO NIGHTS ONLY
APRIL 14-15th 20:30
PAT O’OCONNOR & EOGHAN O'SULLIVAN

Fiddle player, PAT O’OCONNOR, comes from Ennis in County Clare and has been playing music all his life. As a child he studied Piano-accordion, banjo, mandolin, and bouzouki, before finally settling on the fiddle as his weapon of choice. Pat settled in Feakle several years ago and soon established the annual Feakle Music Festival.
He has two acclaimed solo CDs "The Green Mountain" and "The Humours of Derrybeha".

PAT O'CONNOR: THE GREEN MOUNTAIN
Pat O'Connor’s music has the moderate pace and easy flow associated with County Clare. Home-grown, "pure drop" traditional music.

EOGHAN O'SULLIVAN has been playing flute & accordion since he was six, and is now regarded as County Cork’s leading accordionist. He performs and holds workshops at the Feakle Music Festival and the Castle Island Festival in County Kerry. He has three CDs, one with Fiddle player Jerry Harrington titled "Sceal Eile" and two with "The Smokey Chimney".

"The Smoky Chimney"
The understanding between Gerry and Eoghan has developed to the point where it's hard to tell the box from the fiddle. The style is gentle, understated, relaxed, and quietly brilliant. This album is beyond reproach with subtle textures, brilliant solos and stomping ensemble pieces. Well done, lads.
